50th Anniversary Celebrations
Early Bird Registration
Early bird entry closes 31st March 2016. Boat numbers are limited to 50 boats to signify the 50th anniversary so get in early.
Sculpture Unveiling
The unveiling of the monumental commemorative sculpture will take place on 25 September 2016.
Tournament Briefing
The tournament briefing will be held on the evening of 25 September 2016.
Fishing Days
4 days of fishing on September 26, 27, 28 and 29th, 2016. Boats will depart from the Cairns Marlin Marina on the morning of 26 and return the evening of 29th September.
Rest Day
A rest day will take place on September 30 before the presentation dinner that night.
Presentation Dinner
The Presentation Dinner and Hall of Fame awards ceremony, a combined evening, to be held on 30th September 2016.
Commemorating the anniversary of the first 1000lb black marlin capture
which put the Cairns black marlin fishery onto the world stage.
